The HELCI Project has been presented in the framework of the activities of the European Women Rectors Association (EWORA).

Vilnius October 29, 2024 – In particular, it was announced during the seminar Universities as Change Agents to Create Gender-Based Violations-Free Society, held at Mykolas Romeris University. The meeting focused on analyzing how universities can act, in practice, as agents of change to build more inclusive and sensitive societies that value diversity and gender equity through a transformative organizational culture, training programs and lifelong learning.

Dr. Ramunė Jakštienė, a member of the Transnational Learning Community, presented the results of the project in her paper entitled. “Ensuring Gender Equality at Universities: HELCI Project”.

The seminar was attended by around fifty people and included the participation of rectors and vice-rectors of higher education institutions such as Mykolas Romeris University, Malmö University, Glasgow Caledonian University, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Webster University, as well as other prominent personalities in the field of gender equity.

EWORA is an international non-profit association, based in Brussels since December 2015, which aims to promote women’s leadership in academia and advocate for gender equality in higher education and research, both at European and international level.
